Hitachi Air Compressor ec12

small valve leaks air

As soon as the air pressure reaches 120lbs and the compressor stops air blows out of a small brass fitting in the back of the On/Off/Auto (pressure regulator?)control box. The ec12 has been sitting in a garage for I don't know how long.....can you pls help? thanks

    I got the leak fixed. Disconnected the plastic tube, shot some wd40 into the plastic line and valve and where it inserts into the pressure housing. Started it up and no more leaks but have another problem. When pressure drops the motor does not want to kick in again. It tries but seems some kind of adjustment is needed. Any ideas, anyone? TIA
