Having problems getting my new deck belt for my To...

Having problems getting my new deck belt for my Toro LX420 to remain tight, I got it put back on exactly how the display shows but it keeps falling off and I can't get the blade to engage. Can't seem to find anything in the manual showing how to make it tighter
