My Coleman 5000 ER is hard to start when its been sitting, aren't they all. I always TRY to remember to drain the case, this year I didn't. I pulled the fuel line off at the small inline filter and flushed clean gas under a slight pressure from and air hose. I pulled the float bowl and both high and low needle valve and cleaned them. Also got a replacement float bowl o-ring and needle valve body gasket at the local techumseh OE shop. Put it all back together with a 1/2 gallon of fresh fuel and sta-bil additive. A shot of ether and it fired!! A few shots and pulls later it was running. About 10 minutes into it I could tell the tank still had moisture. Stopped it, pulled up and down on the handles to swish the gas around in the tank. Drained all of it. Refilled full this time. Started with a little ether help.... purrs like a kitten. Hope this helps!! -Gerry
