Cable keeps slipping out

The ball end of the control cable to engage the self blade keeps slipping out of the slot on the bottom of the engine. It can be put back in by turning the mower over but slips out again the next time the blade is disengaged. What do I need to do to make it stay in the slot.

same problem for me....

My mower has the same problem...need help please. Although I am a woman, I hope to be able to fix it myself. Can't afford new mower...and feel like I always get rip off at repair places.
