ENGINE SHUT OFF

I JUST REPLACED MY BELT ON MY TILLER. tHE ENGINE STARTS PROPERLY, HOWEVER, WHEN I ENGAGE THE FORWARD CLUTCH THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF IMMEDAITLY.
