Honda Power Equipment Mulching Lawn Mower HRZ216

New Spark Plug doesn't spark

My Honda Harmony II HRZ216 lawnmower doesn't start because it seems that I am having an electrical problem on my mower. I found this out when I noticed that there was no spark coming from the spark plug. When I did this, I asked somebody else to pull the starting cord and I set the spark plug to the engine block to assure an electrical connection. I also tested this on a new spark plug and I didn't see any sparks come out of it either. What should I do next to correct this electrical problem? Thanks. My email is t.santos888@yahoo.com
