Pull cord jamming
Posted by wmars1776 on May 18th, 2008 at 11:21am

Every now and then, the pull cord jam and will not pull out. I take the cover off and pull and prod it and then it works fine. What part would I have to replace to fix this once and for all. I can't figure out how to get the round armature off to get to the spool?

I got the bell shaped part off with a torx driver. I am talking about the thick round part with two thick springs on it where the casing is underneath?

you can hold the shaft with a pair of vice grips and turn the partcounter clockwise and it should unscrewthen you can remove the plastic housing to get to the rope and pully.
