won't start!

pull starter string and runs briefly and stops will not run so i can use it

    I have a Craftsman 4 cycle trimmer that after running out of gas I cannot get it to start again. I have cleaned out the filter, and checked to see if it has fire--fire is good and filter cleaned. Nothing.
