    Fuel mixture/coke problem?

    I replaced the gas tank becaquse it had developed a crack. When I put it back together, the choke rod is in the hole but when I started it up, it seems to run too rich ( like the choke is pulled out) and runs for a little bit than stops. Could the choke plate be in the wrong position when I reinserted the choke control rod?
